iLAW Managing Partner, Attorney-at-Law dr. Tomas Bagdanskis made a presentation on interpretation of contracts in the 9th annual conference “Contract Law 2015”. This conference is the largest Contract Law conference in Lithuania where professional lawyers and Contract Law experts from leading law firms share their knowledge.
iLAW Partner Vilma Ramanauskaite made a presentation and actively participated in panel discussions in 12th conference – discussion forum “WASTE MANAGEMENT 2015”. The conference – discussion forum took place on 24-25th of September 2015 in Druskininkai.
On 26 June 2014, the Republic of Lithuania Law on the Legal Status of Aliens was revised with amendments. The purpose of these amendments is to get rid of bureaucratic barriers that hinder the employment of foreign specialists of high professional qualification in Lithuania. At the same time, the amendments seek to limit the establishment of fictitious companies that are set up with the aim of obtaining permits to temporarily reside in the country.
On 25th March, 2014 in the Institute of Journalism of the Communication Faculty of Vilnius University there was a discussion “Clicks” or Journalism Ethics?” wherein journalists and lawyers discussed about the freedom of expression, presumption of innocence, the protection of a person`s honour and dignity, as well as about the relation between legal and ethical norms.
On 13th May, 2014, under the decision of the Council of the Lithuanian Bar Association, Mantas Mikalopas was entered into the list of the practising attorneys-at-law.
Professional Law Partnership iLAW supports “Integrating Social Sciences into Legal Research”, an international conference arranged by PhD students and young researchers from Vilnius University, Faculty of Law.
On March 25, 2014, Institute of Journalistic Studies (of Vilnius University‘s Communication Faculty) organised a discussion “Clicks” versus journalist’s ethics”, where journalists and lawyers had the chance to exchange their views on the freedom of expression, presumption of innocence, protection of a person’s honour and dignity and the relation between legal and ethical norms.
When the new attorneys-at-law and lawyers joined the team of iLAW, law firm “Bagdanskis iLAW”, which was known for its expertise on labour law so far, has expanded the areas of the competencies of business law and has changed its name to Professional Law Partnership iLAW.
